Very good seafood and excellent steaks. Pricing is fair and the food portions are hefty. If something is not to your liking they will fix it immediately!

Wife and I had their hamburger. It was big and very good. Also had plenty of fries.

Wow. The food was absolutely fantastic. If you pass by, you should definitely give this place a try!

We finally decided to try this place and were not disappointed!! We had the seafood platter, baked potato, fried cream corn and fried rice. Everything was delicious and so cheap for all the food we got!! We will definitely be eating here again!

Servers were friendly and food was great.

Food was hot and fresh.

Simply put... this place has gone downhill. The prices are going up and food quality is going down. I picked up to-go gumbo with catfish combo. The gumbo container was half the size of the container the last time I purchased this, the price had gone up several dollars, and the rice was day old, dry, and hard... wasn't even edible. I will say, the catfish is still delicious. A few years ago you couldn't find a parking spot, today there were maybe 10 cars/trucks total. I won't be back.

Everything was absolutely delicious!! Waitress was on par!! Can't wait till we come through again, cause we definitely will be back!!

All I can say is, never judge a book by its cover. After reading several negative reviews we almost decided not to eat here. Reluctantly we decided to stay and eat. So glad we did! It was amazing! Everything from the popcorn shrimp, grilled catfish, fried mushrooms, Calamari, all made fresh! Some of the best seafood I’ve had and great service also. (For those ranch dressing lovers out there, they have good ranch dressing also!)

Most of the food was very good. Service was good and everything was clean. Only problem I had was the shrimp gumbo tasted awful and the waitress was told and we still got charged full price for it. Other than that everything was good.

Tasty food. Nice service. But a restroom need to be remodeled.

The food is great, but they have very little to choose from, when it comes to healthy sides. Everything is fried. No, green beans, no corn, no beans, which are normal sides fo such meals. I hate that Chicken fried steaks are only offered with fries. If you want mashed potatoes, you have to pay extra, which I feel is a RIP off. friend

Very nice place to have a good Seafood or steak or just about any of your choosing and reasonably priced, my 13 year old grandson carved his way through the T-Bone and that's about all that he left the bone. My wife just loved the grilled Tilapia and I just prefer good Southern fried catfish everytime. Well worth stopping here.

Amazing food, my 3rd time there and it keeps getting better.

Price for two fried steaks plus sides is not bad.

They are fast with getting orders out, but the prices could be lower just a bit.

OMG I LOVE THIS PLACE I ordered Crab cake, fish and shrimp with fries and hush puppies. I mean talk about the shrimp alone these are Large shrimp y'all not baby shrimp. It's hard to find good fried seafood. I FOUND IT. Everything tastes very fresh.

Out of the way seafood place. Jacky our waitress was great. The catfish was some of the best I have ever had. Shrimp, very fresh and fried just right. The only draw was the beer battered onion rings. Did not care for them. Would like to have had the old fashion flaky rings. The hush puppies were very tasty also.

Love the food and drink. Service was weird. 3 different people helped my food out.

Wow what a great place!! Steaks are great,our compliments to the chef. Our server Grace was wonderful, professional and prompt. Definitely marked as a favorite and will be back.Thank you for the hospitality.

Get the Shrimp Cocktail! They serve it Mexican-style as well (excellent). The gumbo is fantastic. Always friendly staff at this place. Fried or grilled seafood for "here or to go". Burgers and chicken sandwiches are awesome. You never know who may be at this place when visiting (local celebs). Also, the chicken fried chicken is muahh!

Just ur basic grab a quick bite place. We were only folks there at that time so service was quick. Food was ok as well.

First time eating at Hempstead Seafood Restaurant on the recommendation of our friends while we were visiting in Cypress. The waitress was super friendly, but needed to know the wine and beer menu better. Her service was great. The food was pretty good. I had the Shrimp Gumbo and a salad. The Gumbo was tasty, but could have been hotter. Dinner Salad was fresh. The garlic bread and ettouffe dip was really good. I would go back again. Reasonable prices and worth stopping here to eat.

I had popcorn shrimp and Catfish. This is a very good spot to dine. I had the double meat burger on another visit. That was one of the best burgers I have tasted.

Nice place for a quick lunch. A little dark, but waitress was awesome and the food was very good. O would recommend this this place for others to try.

We eat here frequently and enjoy this place. We moved from Orange Tx area with a lot of seafood restaurants. We were glad to find a place with fresh seafood far from the coast.

Never disappointed with the food from this place hot, and tasty. I've eaten here plenty of times. If I had a complaint it would be that the side dish of veggies are sometimes of a smaller portion. I love veggies almost or as much as I love the fish. Once or twice the veggie portion I ordered was kinda scant. They always fix it right up when that happens. I haven't figured out why that happens. They wait persons are fantastic and they will help each other out if one of them get too busy.

The food tastes great, but the restrooms are horrible, it stinks so bad I could even wash my hands, they need some major remodeling in there restroom...😐

Poor food. Everything tasted like microwave meals. No condiments other than in little packets. 2 stars for the waitress.

Very disappointed! This is the lunch I received today...I received nothing but excuses when I took it back to the restaurant. This went straight in the trash...lost $10, I didn't want to get sick. This food looked like it was reheated and then served.

We stopped here on our way to Prairie View for a work meeting. The food was great, service great and prices great.

The food was ok. The waiter was great. Would have given 4 stars, but we had a glass of wine which tasted like it had been left out. Sent it back right away and they would not take it off the bill.

We love this place! Halfway between our home and my parents' home and we stop by whenever we come through hungry! The food is always great! Service is great and always very quick!
